Other Turnings: Bubinga Platter

This 13" platter is made of bubinga (a West African hardwood). My buddy Everett gave me a plank of this wonderfully figured wood as a thank you for helping him make some kitchen cabinets in my shop.

Another Christmas gift for my wife, this platter has seen a fair bit of use and it's carnuba wax over tung oil finish has held up quite well.
