Boxes: Cherry Egg

This 2 1/2" cherry egg is one of my Easter Egg obsession. ;) Made from a downed black cherry limb in my parents yard, it's 1/8" thick and has a suction fit lid. Particularly interesting is the way the dark heartwood contrasts with the white sapwood and light red-brown cambium layers giving the appearance of a painted Easter Egg.
