Nantucket Turnings: Deb's Bowl

The very first of the Nantucket Turnings and was a gift for my wife Debbie. Deb's Bowl is turned out of local black cherry from my parents back yard. This Nantucket Turning is the prototype of my "Island" series of bowls which feature one-piece rims and a pedestal foot.

This 6" bowl is woven with cane and features a scrimshaw image of a bunny on the base's ivory medallion.
