Boxes: Lidded Hollow Form

Sometimes I turn to play with form, other times I'm exploring figure in the wood. This lidded hollow form was an exercise in both. The spalted Ambrosia maple had an interesting color vein running through it and I began following it's arc to see where it led me. The interior is a smooth spherical recess that reflects the darker grain arc seen on the outside of the form.
